I used blabberize.com to make a picture "talk." It was pretty simple, the only problems I had were with my computer, and making it stay on the internet. The fun thing about blabberize.com is that you can take any picture, and make it say anything, for FREE. I'm sure students would be more interested in hearing a mouse read the story of "The Lion and the Mouse" than hearing the teacher. It does take a bit of preparation, but it's fun to watch and make.

What a fun tool you found Heather! I thought the same thing that it would be awesome to use to tell or retell a story or even make fun e-cards for families. I went on the site and played around it with, maybe one day I will use it :)
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! It does look like a lot of fun and certainly will be something I want to use in my future classroom.
ReplyDeleteThis is really sweet, I have never heard of this before. It would be awesome to use this to have students use it to create an original creative story. This looks like a cool tool to compine technology and imagination
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great tool for a classroom. I have never heard of Blabberize before but I am definitely interested now. This would be a great way to interest students in listening to the same boring information in a new exciting way. This would also be a great tool for involving students in creating a story.
ReplyDeleteI love it!!! I had never heard of Blabberize, but I have used that same kind of technology through Jib-Jab. (Jib-Jab isn't exactly something I would use for educational purposes, but it is fun!) I will definitely have to go play around with Blabberize (after I get all my homework done!) Thanks for sharing this tech tool with us. I think that the kids in my "preferred" age group--4th-6th grade--would love it. :-)
ReplyDeleteUm that was hilarious haha. Good call putting a video on the post. Often times, it can be hard to understand how the tech tools people talk about actually work. This painted a very clear picture so thanks. Plus, free things like this are always valuable to have up your sleeve to spice things up!
